What a week for classes – sign up now!

We have some fantastic classes coming up, all project classes, with gorgeous and locally-designed FO’s, that are fast as well as being fabulous.

Heart 2 Heart Beaded Scarf: This crescent shaped lace scarf with its heart lace border is as sweet as pie! The scarf consists of a whimsical beaded heart border, a wide and shallow garter stitch center, and a tubular edge. The scarf is worked side to side.
When: Wednesday, January 19. 5-8pm, with Sivia Harding. This class is $30.
Materials:
*Lace or fingering weight yarn – 400 yds
*Needles, either straights or circular, US 3 (3.25 mm) for lace yarn or US 5 (3.75 mm) for fingering weight yarn.
*174 size 8/0 or 6/0 seed beads
*Small crochet hook (Susan Bates #13 works)
*Stitch markers.

Hugs and Kisses Mitts: These sweet fingerless mitts have an OXO cable running down the back of the hand and the palm. Knit diligently, and yours will be ready by Valentine’s Day! These mitts are knit in the round using dpns; you may also choose to knit them on two circular needles.
When: Thursdays, January 20, 27. 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with Michele Bernstein. This class is $40.
Materials: 100 grams DK weight yarn, and appropriately sized needles to obtain gauge, stitch markers.
Includes: Hugs and Kisses pattern)
Skills learned: lifted increases, left and right, thumb gussets, and cables, including cabling without a cable needle.

Beginner’s Shawl: Are you ready for your first shawl?
When: Saturdays, Jan. 22, 29. 3:00 – 5:00pm, with Parna Mehrbani. This class is $40.
Materials: 380 yards of Fingering-weight yarn OR 350 yards of Sport-weight yarn and US 4 or 5 24” or longer circular needle, stitch markers, darning needle.
Includes: Ananke pattern by Shannon Squire.
