Plied Knowledge: The week that was…
At the store:
- It was a week of everything shifting one spot to the left as we made room for the last shipment of new colors from Hazel Knits! The Lively DK colors are here and we are making sure they have plenty of room to shine.
- Brooklyn Tweed showed up, as well, and we are so excited to get more and more sweater quantities in for the fall...
- Not to be left out, several lovely boxes of Quince & Co. arrived, too! Not just wonderful yarn, but also their adorable pins. You know you need the sheep in the sweater for your project bag...
- We are huge fans of BMFA's Plushy yarn! Such rich, gorgeous colors and such a lovely sheen to the yarn - it just begs to be knitted up. New colors are up, giving us a fabulous selection to choose from.
- And don't forget to keep an eye on our classes - we update them regularly!
Around the web:
- We are feeling very DIY at the store at the moment and have found lots of good stuff online to inspire you, as well! Starting off with sewing, here's a collection of bedding and pillow patterns to refresh your rooms...
- Not a pattern per se, but an interesting look at what an AI named Hat3000 comes up with for crochet hat patterns...
- For the knitters, thanks to Quince & Co., it's not too late to knit a scrunchie! Matter of fact, it's probably just the right time to knit a bunch for stocking stuffers...
- And for those with jeans (or more!) that are piling up to be fixed, embellished or mended, this book will help you do so in a unique and beautiful way...
And totally, completely, unapologetically local:
- Oregon Flock and Fiber is this weekend! Run!
- It's also the Northwest Quilting Expo if sewing is more your thing...
- Still haven't gotten enough Oktoberfest? There's one at the Zoo this weekend, too...
- And finally, slightly further afield and for everyone, September 28th is a free National Park Day!
Have a great weekend and remember, you can always find us online!
