Surprising Sweaters!
There are almost as many ways to make a sweater as there are ways to knit. We have exciting classes this Spring featuring two styles you may have never tried before, for two very different sweaters.
Top Down Sweater with Set In Sleeves – Clarendon Pullover: Saturday, March 19, 26 & April 2, 9, & 16; from 10:30am-12:30pm. In her stunning book, Top Down: Reimagining Set In Sleeve Design, Elizabeth Doherty introduces a revolutionary method focused on achieving beautifully tailored sleeve and shoulder construction. The perfect test drive is the Clarendon pullover. Knit in an aran to bulky weight, the Clarendon is a cozy, unfussy sweater, perfect for a quick walk to the Farmer’s Market or a rainy night at home.
Sweater Construction – Francis Top: Tuesday, March 22 & 29, April 5, 12, & 19, from 6:00-8:00pm. (Please note: classes on March 22 & April 12 are from 6:00-7:00pm.) This class features so many intriguing techniques, and is an excellent demonstration of the creative freedom side-to-side construction offers. Olga Buraya-Kefelian’s Francis is a flattering, versatile top to wear as seasons change. Discover why this is one of my favorite directions for sweater design!
