We are going to start a new series of blog posts to hear what all the Twisted staff members are working on! This week we asked Twistedista Dawn what her top WIP’s are.
Dawn is our no-nonsense shop mom (and actual mom of two high schoolers). She is in charge of facilities, making sure the shop is always sparkling clean and keeping the backstock neat as a pin. She’s the first person to jump in to help if a co-worker is sick or needs a hand, and is the source of all the delicious home-baked goodies at our knit nights and parties!
“I am definitely NOT someone who works one project to completion. I typically have many irons in the fire depending on how my time I have at any given moment to work on something."
- First, Felted Clog Slippers in Malabrigo Worsted - “I adore taking classes here because it means I not only am learning something new but forcing myself to finish stuff on a timeline!”
- Rectangly Hat in Quince & Co Lark - "Another class project because I wanted to learn double knitting. Word to the wise, it takes time!"
- Turkish Bed Socks in Hazel Knits Entice - "I always have a pair of these going. They are the perfect short attention span project for me. Plus I have knit enough of them I am not a slave to the pattern..."
- Nightshift Shawl by Andrea Mowry - "I am extremely excited to start this one! I am only half stash busting but it is giving me the opportunity to use some colors I have been eyeing in the store (Knitted Wit Worsted in Acadia National Park and Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in Iceberg) but haven't found a project for until now!"
