Exciting New Skills for Fall!
A hole in your handknits?! The horror! If you’re like me, the change in the weather has you bringing out the sweaters and socks. Some of those heels and elbows are getting a little threadbare. Luckily, mending can provide us with a wonderful opportunity for creativity. Join Sivia Harding for her excellent class, Mending Your Knits – Saturday, September 10 from 2:00-5:00pm. Learn several options for fixing up your favorite knits while exploring mending methods from around the world.
Whether it’s bright and clean modern designs, or new heirloom textiles, hand weaving is everywhere these days! Learn to make your own unique fabrics on a rigid heddle loom. This is a wonderful way to use your odds and ends, too. Beginner’s Rigid Heddle Weaving – Saturday, September 10 & 17 from 10:30am-1:30pm.
Become multi-craftual with crochet. Learn to Crochet – Wednesday, September 14 & 21 from 6:00-7:30pm. This class introduces you to the basics of crochet, as well as those fun, bright granny squares (speaking of great ways to use up leftover yarn)!
Learn to spin the portable way. Intro to Drop Spindle Spinning – Thursday, September 22 & 29 from 6:30-7:00pm. Fall in love with fiber and make your very own yarn!
We have oodles of fantastic classes coming up this Fall! For more information, or to enroll, visit our website, give us a call (503 922 1150), or drop into Twisted!
