In March, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns in the US, Twisted lowered our free shipping threshold from $50 to $25 for most items. We wanted to help our customers stay safe and stay home, which of course means lots of knitting and crocheting!
Now the time has come for us to notch that threshold back up. Free shipping is a huge expense, and we need to balance the desire to provide our customers with an exemplary shopping experience and the need to maintain a sustainable business model. So, starting 5/8/2020, our free shipping threshold will increase from $25 to $40 on most US orders. That's still 20% lower than it was pre-pandemic and still means two skeins of most hand-dyed yarns will ship free.
