Parna’s Mostly Cloudy Apocalypse
That’s what you’d get if you combined Miss Parna’s two new patterns in the Twisted pattern line…
Apocalypse Cowl
Parna knit this cowl while watching the final episodes in a “save the world from the apocalypse” season of one of our favorite TV shows. She couldn’t help but think that the oh-so-cute boys tasked with saving the world would have benefited from something to keep them warm during those long and lonely nights fighting evil.

Mostly Cloudy Hat
“Mostly cloudy” that’s what the weather reports say for most fall and winter (and spring!) nights here in Portland. This ribbed hat is the perfect solution for an evening chill, or even when it is still technically summer, but you can feel the rainy season starting to rear its head.
Sizes: Adult S/M (Adult M/L). Fits 20 in. (24 in.) head around ears. This hat stretches a lot, so if you’re unsure you’ll probably want to knit the smaller size.
Gauge: 32 sts over 4 in. (33 sts over 4 in. is fine too) in unstretched 1×1 ribbing.
Needles: US 5, 16 in. circular needle and US 5 double-pointed needles – or size YOU need to get gauge.
Yarn: 170 (210) yards DK weight yarn. Shown in Alpaca with a Twist, Baby Twist (100% alpaca, 50g, 110 yards, color #4014) – 2 balls.
