November’s Contest and October’s Winner
We’re pleased to announce that the winner of October’s photo contest, “Animals and Knits”, is Sharon S. with this ADORABLE picture of “Little Winston”. I’m not sure what kind of dog Little Winston is, but I’m pretty sure I will cry if I can’t have him. As Emily said, “I want to squish it into my pocket.”
At least I can rest soundly at night knowing that he’s cozy warm in his sweater. Sharon will be taking home this Lantern Moon tote bag (maybe Winston will get to ride in it!)
But now it’s time for November’s contest! Yes, November is half over, but haikus are quick and easy to write, so you’ll be ok. This month’s mission: Write a haiku about your favorite fiber bearing animal or plant, and submit it at our contest page here.
This time, we’re giving away a copy of Cat Bordhi’s newest work of sock-knitting brilliance: “Personal Footprints for Insouciant Sock Knitters”. In case you haven’t heard about this excellent book, our very own Sivia did a book review just the other day: Click here to find out why you want “Personal Footprints” enough to dabble in the ancient art of haiku!
Check out our contest page for more information and to enter your haiku (remember- 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. See past winners for examples!)
