Magazine Week at Twisted
We’ve been receiving magazines all week here at Twisted. First and foremost, we got an infusion of the Vogue Knitting Fall issue everyone’s been talking about! There’s a great article about yesterday’s blog-post-topic, Schoolhouse Press, which turns 50 this year, and an article on Ravelry. Come on by and snag one before this round is gone, too! Mittens are the new socks, folks – better cast on!
We’ve also got the new issue of CRAFT:08, which features weaving. It’s a great issue, and not just because Twisted is mentioned (on page 99) for being one of the crafty destination stops in Portland, but because it’s CRAFT! It’s a kick-*ss magazine! Diane Gilleland, local craftista extraordinaire, has THREE separate pieces in the issue! You go, girl!
We have also received the Fall issue of Interweave Knits! As anticipated, this issue does not disappoint. There are fabulous sweater and vest patterns, and sock patterns to make your heart go pitter-pat. Another reason to grab a copy: local fab designer Chrissy Gardiner has yet another sock pattern in this issue! Yeehaww, Chrissy! (If you want to check out Chrissy’s entire line of patterns, we have them all here at Twisted).
