Learn to Spin!

Discover a whole new fiber obsession with spinning classes at Twisted! Not only do we have to fabulous classes with the talented Simone Barber, we also have oodles of beautiful roving waiting for you, Schacht wheels for rent or purchase, and beautiful, hand crafted drop spindles – everything you need to take your love of wool to the next level.

Intro to Wheel Spinning – Tuesday, May 17, 24, & 31 from6:00-8:00 OR Tuesday, June 14, 21 & 28, from 6:00-8:00pm. This 3 week class will introduce you to basic spinning techniques and terminology, including how to draft, spin and ply yarn from wool roving, as well as a discussion of basic yarn design. 

Intro to Drop Spindle Spinning – Saturday, May 21 & 28 11:00am-12:30pm OR Thursday, July 21 & 28, from 6:00-8:00pm. Drop spindle spinning is incredibly portable & fun! This 2 week class is perfect for anyone who wants to spin, but isn’t quite ready for the commitment of a wheel. Spindles will be available to test drive in class so students can find the just the right one for them.
