Class Round-Up
We have some fantastic classes coming up in the next week or so, including the following:
Learn to Knit
Covers knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, casting on, binding off, and reading basic patterns. Standard class is three weeks long. Students may opt to extend the class by taking the My First Scarf! class.

Saturdays, 10:30-12:30pm. April 2, 9, 16. NO bonus session. Instead, check out My First Scarf! Class April 23 and 30.
$60 for 3-week option. $100 for the 5-week option.
Materials: US #8 straight needles, worsted-weight wool (preferably plain-colored and not too dark).
Skills learned: knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increase, decrease, reading a pattern.
Lace Edgings
Learn new stitches to add lace to just about anything!
Sunday, April 3. 10:30 – 12:30pm.

Materials: 1 skein light color (non-variegated) sport, dk, or light worsted yarn, smooth contrast yarn (can be scraps), 24″ circular needle, size US 5 or 6, 1 dpn or short circular same size, 1 needle (circular or straight) at least two sizes smaller than needle above, 1 crochet hook, size E (3.5mm), 4 stitch markers (preferably 3 the same and 1 unique), 1 point protector, darning needle.
Homework: bring to class – With crochet hook and contrast yarn, chain 34 stitches. With working yarn and 24″ needle, pick up 30 stitches in the back
loops of the crochet chain. Knit 62 rows (garter stitch), leaving yarn attached after the last row.
Skills learned: Various lace edgings.
