Allocation of financial resources is a key part of systemic racism. As such, we are committed to channeling some of our resources to support protestors, community organizers, and other groups engaged in anti-racist work. Click here for a list of organizations that Twisted donated to last week. We encourage you to learn more and, if you're able, donate. This list is far from exhaustive; there are many other groups doing vital work that are in need of your support.
As a retail business, one way we can specifically contribute in a more long-term way is by actively supporting businesses owned by members of communities subjected to institutionalized racism. Accordingly, Twisted is devoting $20,000 to adding more products from makers who are Black, indigenous, and members of other communities of color. We know that this is overdue and not sufficient; our work is just beginning. We will continue to listen, learn, and find sustained ways to contribute to the movement for social justice.
