So you’ve mastered two-color brioche rib. What next? Increases and decreases to create beautiful patterns in your brioche knitting!
Choose either the Deep End Hat , Deep End Cowl, or Madrona Cowl to learn these techniques. You’ll learn most of the increases and decreases on the first patterning round, and then have lots of relaxing brioche rib before the next increases and decreases. We will learn and practice double and quadruple increases, left- and right-leaning double decreases, and get an introduction to quadruple decreases. We’ll also learn more about reading your brioche knitting and fixing more mistakes.

Cast on and work through the four set-up rounds for the Deep End Hat or Cowl as indicated in pattern, or through the setup round for the Madrona Cowl. Come to class ready to work the first patterning round (the increases and decreases). This will take most knitters about an hour.
Michele Lee Bernstein, PDXKnitterati, loves designing accessories, especially if they use one or two skeins of very special yarn. She's fond of texture (brioche, lace, entrelac, elongated stitches) and using interesting techniques to make small objects sing. Her patterns are available through Ravelry.com and Payhip.com. She loves teaching knitters to be the boss of their knitting and does so at local yarn shops in Oregon, fiber festivals including Vogue Knitting Live, and guild retreats. She taught at Twisted forever, before we went online only! Find her on Instagram, Facebook, Ravelry, and Twitter as PDXKnitterati. Her website is https://pdxknitterati.com/
