Wellingborough is a triangular shawl combining stockinette, lace and garter stitches. The shawl starts with a triangle worked in garter stitch. When the triangle is complete, stitches are picked up along the two sides and the rest of the shawl is worked top down, one side at a time. The left and right side of the shawl are worked alternately, on separate needles.
Malabrigo Sock is (prepare for a controversial take) even better for shawls than it is for socks! (See - controversial!) Spun from the finest merino wool, this unbelievably soft yarn creates fine shawls with luxurious drape. Show in colors 611 Ravelry Red and 009 Polar Morn.
The Wellingborough Shawl pattern is also available separately as a physical copy or on Ravelry for $5.00.
For orders of multiple skeins, we will select skeins from the same dye lot or, if there is no dye lot, skeins that visually match. If you add multiple skeins of the same yarn to your cart you'll be prompted at checkout to select how to proceed if we have concerns about skeins matching.
While colors shown are accurate to the best of our ability, computer monitors and dye lots both vary so the skeins you receive may differ from what is shown.
