This dishcloth can be knit with any weight yarn, to any gauge, and as any finished size, though I like it about 8”x8”.
You can just barely get 2 of these from 1 ball of solid-colored Lily / Sugar’n Cream (the ombres have a bit less yardage). Or, my favorite way to do it, you can knit one of these and one Easy as Pie Dishcloth from one ball.
In her 90+ years, my grandma must have made hundreds or maybe thousands of these dishcloths. Everyone who did her a favor or came over for dinner got one, neatly packaged in a plastic baggie. I’m lucky enough to have a drawer full of them (some knit by Grandma, some by my mom, some by me), and always keep one by my sink. Knit one for someone you love.
