Pre-orders ship and calculate shipping separately

This item is on pre-order! It will be available:

Fall 2022
  • This item is a pre-order. You will be charged at checkout, and it will ship in Fall 2022 (we don't have an exact date yet).
  • Please check out for this pre-order separately from regular, in-stock items. Thank you!
    • Because pre-orders ship separately, they are treated as separate orders.
    • That means each order will qualify, or not, for free shipping separately. So, it is the cart total of regular, in-stock items that triggers eligibility for free shipping for those regular, in-stock items.
    • The free shipping calculator in the cart drawer EXCLUDES PRE-ORDERS for this reason.
    • The robot that calculates shipping quotes at checkout gets grumpy about all the above, and will not always offer free shipping correctly if you combine pre-orders and regular items in the same order.
  • The ETA listed is our best guess for when we'll be able to ship your pre-order. Occasionally this can be delayed due to severe weather or other unforeseeable events beyond our control. If this happens, we'll reach out to keep you updated.

According to the dictionary, occult refers to “hidden, secret and mysterious, particularly pertaining to the supernatural.” Occult practices appeal to our natural curiosity. According to Wikipedia, the occult, in the broadest sense, is a category of supernatural beliefs and practices which generally fall outside the scope of religion and science, encompassing such phenomena involving otherworldly agency as mysticism, spirituality, and magic. Examples of occult practices are astrology, witchcraft , the black arts, fortune-telling, magic (both black and white), Ouija boards, spiritism, and parapsychology.

All the books and magazines we sell are new. Upon receipt, we inspect them for misprints and damage, then sort them into the following categories in an effort to give you as much information as possible and make sure you're satisfied with your purchase! Regardless of the condition, we'll do our best to package your media item securely so it arrives to you in good shape. Shipping can be a tough journey, though, so we cannot guarantee a book will arrive crisp as the day it was printed.

If you have specific requirements for your book's condition leave us a note at checkout. For example, if ANY minor, normal blemishes are unacceptable, tell us that and what to do next. We can email you photos or refund you if no copies we have in stock meet your needs.

  • Normal - If no condition is listed, it's this one! As far as we can see, these are in normal, good condition for a new book. Please note that most of these books have been shipped all over the world, so they could have very minor, purely cosmetic blemishes. They're comparable to a new book or magazine you'd find in a bookstore. Examples: slightly scuffed corner, very small bent corner, or a small nick in the cover.
  • Cosmetic Damage - These have noticeable cosmetic issues but are still completely functional. We will list the damage and upload photos to show the issue if necessary. Examples of minor damage: a smudge on the cover or crushed corner. Examples of moderate damage: cracked spine or torn cover.
