This simple stocking hat will brighten your day during Portland's damp winters. It is a great first hat project with a very forgiving, stretchy fabric and a choice of three sizes.
Size Adult Small shown in:
Pink: Malabrigo Sock in Piedras 862 held with Berroco Andean Mist (sadly discontinued) in Chaiten 6319, and in
Blue: Quince & Co. Tern in Stonington 412 held with Berroco Andean Mist (sadly discontinued) in Napo 6381.
In 1x1 ribbing, after blocking, unstretched, 28-32 sts = 4"/10 cm. Stretchy ribbing makes measuring gauge a challenge. Aim for fabric that is supple but quite structured, and definitely not floppy or holey.
