150 [185, 225] yards/140 [170, 205] meters DK weight yarn OR of both a fingering weight and a fine mohair or similar yarn held together.

US #2.5/3.0 mm (OR size you need to get gauge) 16"/40 cm circular AND double pointed.

Gauge

In 1x1 ribbing, after blocking, unstretched, 28-32 sts = 4"/10 cm. Stretchy ribbing makes measuring gauge a challenge. Aim for fabric that is supple but quite structured, and definitely not floppy or holey.
