Malabrigo Susurro

Malabrigo Susurro is brand new for summer 2019. This breezy yarn, named after the Spanish word for "whisper", is soft and light, making it the ultimate summer yarn. Susurro is 50% Mulberry Silk, 25% Merino, and 25% Linen wound as a single ply into a DK/Sport weight. The fusion of these 3 very different fibers results in an amazing depth of color, giving the yarn an almost metallic sheen.

This yarn has a marvelous balance due to the contrast between the crisp texture of linen and the silkiness of Merino. It is great for all manner of summery projects: shawls, scarves, accessories, lace, textured stitches, cables, lightweight garments.

Fiber: 50% Mulberry silk, 25% Merino, and 25% Linen
Weight: Sport/DK
Gauge: 21-28 sts = 4" / 10 cm
Needles: US 5-7 / 3.75 - 4.5mm
Put up: 100 gram /3.5 ounce hank
Length: 325 yards / 297 meters
Care: Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.

Like all Malabrigo yarns, Susurro is kettle-dyed in small batches by artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty. Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Particularly for variegated colors, skeins will vary from one to the next even within the same bag and will vary, sometimes substantially, from what is pictured. Twisted staff will do our best to fill your order with skeins from the same dye lot that visually match. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball. While colors shown are accurate to the best of our ability, computer monitors and dye lots both vary so the skeins you receive may differ from what is shown.
