Mechita Quinteto Gradient Set - from Malabrigo

This five skein gradient set in Malabrigo Mechita contains one skein each of Malabrigo's new Quinteto colors: Piano, Double Bass, Cello, Viola, and Violin This color combination was inspired by the Trout Quintet by Franz Schubert. Each color represents one of the instruments used by Schubert and the goal is for the colors to echo the harmony that flows throughout the music.

Mechita is a fingering-weight version of Malabrigo’s beautifully-dyed, single-ply superwash yarn. It’s just as soft and rich in color as the original, bulky weight version, Mecha, but perfect for lighter projects! Mechita is ideal for shawls, scarves, and other accessories. And being machine washable, it’s fanstastic for baby and kids projects too.

Like all Malabrigo yarns, Mechita is kettle-dyed in small batches by artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty. Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag, particularly for variegated colors. Twisted staff will do our best to fill your order with skeins from the same dye lot that visually match. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball. While colors shown are accurate to the best of our ability, computer monitors and dye lots both vary so the skeins you receive may differ from what is shown.
