First Sweater - Edgartown Light: Tuesday, January 7, 14, 28 & February 4, from 6:00-8:00pm - from Twisted Classes
Ready to knit your first sweater, but feeling a little nervous? Join Cheri and knit up the Edgartown Light, a fun and easy top-down pullover. She'll cover swatching, how to choose your perfect size, and walk you through all the elements of creating your first sweater!
All classes are intended for adults (roughly high school and up) unless otherwise noted. Please read our class policies and cancellation information before registering and contact us if you have any questions!
*Please note this class skips a week between sessions 2 & 3 to allow for students to work on their project.*
Basic long tail or knitted cast on, knit and purl stitches, binding off.
Swatching. Choosing the correct size. Top-down sweater construction. And more!

Either bring your own or before/during class get 20% off your purchase of the following:
- Yarn: 900-1580 yards of DK weight yarn. We recommend La Luna DK, Hazel Knits Lively DK , Malabrigo Arroyo , or Berroco Vintage DK.
- Needles: For the first class, you will only need one US size 7 32”circular needle. Cheri will advise students on additional needle sizes after the first class.
- Notions: Locking stitch markers. Tapestry needles for weaving in ends.
- Pattern: Before class, please purchase a copy of the Edgartown Light pattern by Alicia Plummer. It is available electronically and print-on-demand at Twisted. It is also available electronically directly from Ravelry.com, however Twisted's class discount does not apply to materials not purchased at Twisted.
