If you are a brand new or returning knitter wondering what project to tackle next, this is the perfect class for you. Learn basic increase stitches, follow a modern pattern, and more - all while making one of our very favorite shawls!

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Skills Required: Long tail or knitted cast on, knit and purl stitches, binding off.
Skills Learned: Basic methods of increasing stitches, how to read and follow a pattern, how to properly weave in ends, and basic blocking technique.
Materials: Either bring your own or before/during class get 20% off your purchase of the following:
- Yarn: 415 yards yards of worsted weight yarn. We recommend Malabrigo Worsted or Malabrigo Rios or Freia Ombre Worsted (pictured).
- Needles: one 32" circular needle - US #8 / 5 mm or so - whatever gets you a nice gauge on that yarn.
- Notions: locking stitch markers
- Pattern: Before class, please purchase a copy of the Wave Diffraction pattern by Kat Archer. It is available electronically and print-on-demand at Twisted. It is also available electronically directly from Ravelry.com, however Twisted's class discount does not apply to materials not purchased at Twisted.
