These micro-mini garments can be knit with just 5 or 6 yards of fingering weight yarn each. They’re the perfect way to use up scrap yarn, practice skills, and spread whimsy all at the same time.

The pattern contains instructions for: hat (brim up, makes 1), scarf (makes 1), mittens (makes 1 pair), socks (cuff down, makes 1 pair), stocking (toe up, makes 1), and sweater (neck down, makes 1).

Gauge

For items this small it’s not worth doing a gauge swatch… which is maybe the only time a pattern will tell you that. The entire item is smaller than a swatch would be! And each one is made with less yardage than the margin of error buffer in most patterns. So if you run out of yarn, which could very well happen, simply go down a needle size and try again. Relax and enjoy the silliness.
