Herringbone Braids & Beyond - Braids, Stranded Colorwork, & Yarn Dominance: Saturday, March 28 from 1:30-4:30pm - from Twisted Classes
It’s all about the braid! These wristlets will take you through the ins and outs of stranded knitting, including managing yarn while knitting with 2 colors, and yarn dominance. You’ll learn six distinct braids: Latvian herringbone braids and 2 kinds of half-braids, all both left and right facing.

Skill Level: Advanced
Skills Required: Long tail or knitted cast on, knit and purl stitches, reading patterns and simple charts, binding off. Students must be comfortable working a small circumference in the round.
Skills Learned: Stranded color knitting; 6 distinct braids - Latvian herringbone braids and 2 kinds of half-braids, all both left and right facing.
Materials: Either bring your own or before/during class get 20% off your purchase of the following:
- Yarn: 150 yards each of three contrasting colors of DK or sport weight yarn.
- Needles: size US #4 needles for your preferred method of small circumference knitting in the round. Either one set of double pointed needles, two circular needles at least 24” long, or one long circular needle (40”-47”) for magic loop.
- Pattern: Before class, please purchase a copy of the Braided Wristlets pattern by Michele Bernstein. It is available electronically and print-on-demand at Twisted. It is also available electronically directly from Ravelry.com, however Twisted's class discount does not apply to materials not purchased at Twisted.
