Brand new from Malabrigo, Noventa is a bulky single-ply that bridges the chunkiness gap between aran-weight Mecha and super-bulky Rasta. Named for its 90 yards per 125 gram skein, Noventa knits up at a chonktastic yet wearable 3 stitches per inch. 

Noventa boasts Malabrigo’s hallmark extra super soft superwash merino and vivid, rich colors. It has a slight thick-and-thin texture and fantastic loft, making it a dream to work with. Because it's machine washable, you'll get a luxury feel that's easy to care for.

Like all Malabrigo yarns, Noventa is hand-dyed in small batches by artisan dyers. Particularly for variegated colors, skeins can vary from one to the next even within the same bag and can also vary, sometimes substantially, from what is pictured. Photographing each skein would be impossible, but we do our best to keep our eyes peeled for drastic deviation from the general color profile shown. Hanks must be wound prior to knitting with them. Unfortunately, though, we are not able to offer winding service for this particular yarn for you. The single ply and silky texture simply doesn't work on our winder, and it does not ship well once wound - the ball often falls apart and tangles en route.

We recommend waiting to wind this yarn just before you work with it, and you may need to wind it by hand. It's well worth the extra effort, though!

Tips for winding if you'll use a swift and ball winder:

• When you go to put the hank on your swift, always check carefully at the two points where the hank is tied to make sure all the strands are coming out of those points the right way. If so much as one strand does a U-turn and goes the other way, you’ll end up with a hot mess on your hands.
• Wind the ball tightly by putting tension on the yarn as you wind. The ball may fly from the ball winder if there is not enough tension.
• Stuff tissue in the center hole and use the outside end of the ball for knitting. Without something in the center it's apt to collapse and tangle.

This yarn is dyed by hand and will vary from skein to skein and batch to batch. Each one is an unique work of art full of subtle variation and beauty, so your skein will differ from the one pictured. To achieve the most even possible color distribution, consider alternating skeins while working your project.

Please buy enough for your entire project all at once. We will do our best to select skeins from the same dye lot or, if there is no dye lot, skeins that visually match.
