This sweet blanket is cast-on in the center and knit outward in a simple yet elegant lace pattern. It's perfect for a baby blanket or curling up on the couch with a book... or knitting. ;) The example shown is knit in Modern Cotton from Berroco, but Pima 100 is also recommended and dare we say we like it even better!

We think the softness and washability of Pima 100 make it perfect for gifts. People experience the soft-to-itchy spectrum of animal fibers in all different ways, plus if you're not sure whether the recipient may be vegan it can't hurt to play it safe. This soft-to-everyone 100% cotton yarn avoids those potential pitfalls altogether!

The blanket shown is in Berroco Modern Cotton (a cotton/synthetic blend), colorway 1621 Warbler. We've created this kit with Berroco Pima 100 and recommend the colorway 8420 Sea Holly as a good alternative if you've fallen in love with the sample color. Don't see your favorite color here? Yarn

• 10 skeins of Berroco Pima 100
• yarn comes unwound in the original hank unless you add winding above*

*Hanks of Pima 100 must be wound prior to knitting with them. However, plant fibers do not ship well once wound into a ball - the ball can fall apart and tangle en route. As such, we recommend waiting to wind this yarn at home just before you work with it. That said, we have found that this particular cotton does better than some others and arrives intact MOST of the time. So you can add winding to your order for this yarn if you are willing to risk a possible tangle! :)

Packaging

• US #8/5mm (or size to get gauge) DPNs,
