Twisted Pattern Line Hooligan Hat - by Parna Mehrbani
When I was in college, I lived in England for a little more than a semester. One of my favorite things to do was to go watch football games (and by football I mean soccer). When it started to get cold I happened to grab my trusty knitted stocking cap and was promptly told by my British friends that I absolutely could not wear it to the match, because it made me look like a hooligan and I would be kicked out of the stadium (and by hooligan I mean I might give you a black eye if you cheer for the other team). I agreed to leave the cap at home (even though I'm pretty sure I could've talked my way out of any such ruckus), but the name stuck.
