Sashiko Samplers Description
Sashiko is traditional Japanese quilting, often showing repeating patterns in bright white thread on navy cloth. In Japan, the sampler is stitched through both layers, hemmed, and used for quilt blocks, tea towels, or table decorations.
These samplers include indigo cotton pre-printed with patterns representing stylized versions of natural elements like windblow grass and ocean waves. The fabric measures approximately 13"x 26" and is pre-printed on one half with dye that will wash out. Includes diagrams for completing a pillow, approximately 12" finished size. Sashiko thread, needles, hoop (optional), and stuffing / pillow form (optional) are not included.
