Tweedy - from Hedgehog Fibres
Sorry, our first order of Tweedy is all sold out. Please click the restock notification button above to get an alert when our next order arrives.
Dyed by hand in Cork, Ireland from 50% recycled fiber, Hedgehog Fibres Tweedy is a neutral base with bright Tweedy flecks from recycled skein ties!
Tweedy is the latest and greatest edition to the Hedgehog Fibres line up. It is a new and instantly-beloved yarny concept - a fingering-weight mix of 50% non-superwash Faulkland wool (which has a natural grey tone), 37.5% recycled wool, and 12.5% thread waste.
What, you ask, is thread waste? That is all the bits and snips and ends and ties from every other Hedgehog Fibres yarn base! They are collected and then spun up to create the rainbow tweedy nubs you see in this unique yarn. Tweedy has a soft, fuzzy quality with an endless variety of subtle and bold pops of color.
Please be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project. We're not sure when or if Hedgehog will produce this base again.

As with all hand-dyed yarn, skeins may vary even within the same batch. Twisted staff will do their best to fill your order with skeins that visually match. However, to ensure random color distribution, we recommend alternating skeins throughout your project. To do this, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball. While colors shown are accurate to the best of our ability, computer monitors and dye batches vary, so the skeins you receive may differ from what is shown. Hedgehog Fibres yarns do not have dye lots.
