This 100% linen yarn is made of clean, crisp linen fiber spun into a unique chain ply structure. DanDoh Linen knits up into soft, lightweight garments with dramatic drape. This yarn is hard to beat for summery knits that will last a lifetime and, in fact, only get lovelier with wear.
Like plant-fiber yarns, linen does not have the natural elasticity and "stickiness" of wool - this is what gives it such a wonderful drape! If you feel the yarn is slippery to handle, try using wooden or bamboo needles/hooks, which have a bit more texture to help keep the yarn where you want it.
To join new balls you may want to try using the Russian Join or the Magic Knot method.
Blocking is always magic but will make your new linen garment truly spring to life. Wet block and soak the garment thoroughly - up to 10 minutes.

Images may show more than one skein to give a sense of color variation and patterning. Ordering a quantity of 1 means you will receive 1 skein/ball.

Hanks must be wound prior to knitting with them. Unfortunately, however, we are not able to offer winding service for this yarn. The slick and crisp texture simply doesn't work on our winder, and it does not ship well once wound - the ball often falls apart and tangles en route.
We recommend waiting to wind this yarn just before you work with it, and you may need to wind it by hand. It's well worth the effort, though!
Please buy enough for your entire project all at once. For orders of multiple skeins, we will select skeins from the same dye lot or, if there is no dye lot, skeins that visually match. If you add multiple skeins of the same yarn to your cart you'll be prompted at checkout to select how to proceed if we have concerns about skeins matching.
While colors shown are accurate to the best of our ability, computer monitors and dye lots both vary so the skeins you receive may differ from what is shown.
