Plied Knowledge: The week that was…
At the shop:
- Whew!!! You all are the BEST! The response to us having to go online-only sooner than anticipated has been amazing. We are so so SO grateful for your support.
- Our physical space is in mild chaos as we rearrange everything to transform it from retail store to warehouse. This will make pulling and shipping orders faster and easier. Not to fear - we are meeting all of our shipping timetable goals! With only occasional exceptions (darn you back-ordered USPS poster tubes!), orders placed before noon will ship the next business day.
- As for stock, we are reordering what we can. Most of our suppliers are still fulfilling orders, though some are temporarily closed. Skacel, our Seattle-based friends who distribute Addi needles in the US, for example, have had to shut down for a few weeks in the interest of public health and the safety of their employees. In cases like that, we are in the queue for when the supplier re-opens. Due to the surge in shipping volume, shipping timelines have also slowed down in some cases.
- Did you hear? We can now sell Quince & Co. yarn online! Hurry, it's going fast and, because we are not going to re-open the brick and mortar store, we won't be getting more.
- If you've ever wanted a mannequin or basket tower or creepy head form of your very own, we'll soon be listing our surplus store supplies online, too.
- We are also busy photographing all our store samples to put on the website for sale as well. This is a big project but also very very fun!
- Our monthly Knit 12 Together Knitalong is going virtual! Join us in knitting a project a month and remember to tag your project #k12tog on social media! Find all the details HERE.
