Tupa

Yaay for new yarns for Fall. Our first, and possibly most-very-favorite, Tupa, has arrived. Tupa is a DK-weight, 50% silk, 50% merino blend from the Mirasol project.

I have played with it, just a bit. Winding it into a ball was a pleasure – it’s so shiny, and lovely.

Swatching was fabulous. And, I got perfect gauge on the first try!

And, the big reveal, Emily and I did order this yarn for a very specific purpose:

The Fall Knitalong! I am going to make Baby Cables and Big Ones, Too as a cardigan (there are a few on Rav that will give me a great jumping-off point). Who’s in for the KAL? Who’s in for making the sweater out of Tupa? We’ve got 12 gorgeous colors of this fabulous stuff in the shop, just waiting to be knitted into a loverly cable-y sweater! Join us!!! Remember, if you are doing the KAL, you must go to Suvi Simola’s Ravelry page and purchase the pattern. You also get 10% off of yarn for the project that you purchase in the shop, so remind us if you are buying yarn for the KAL.
