Baa-bleHat

Baa-ble Hats (c) Donna Smith

One of the fundamentals of knitting, color stranded knitting is a technique that is used in fair isle, Norwegian, and many folk styles around the world. While it may seem intimidating, the basic method is easy to master with a little guidance and practice. Once you’ve learned, you will be ready to play with bold graphics and wild color combinations, or investigate the complex shading of traditional patterns. You may even find yourself picking up some knitter’s graph paper and creating your own designs. Get started with one of our great upcoming color stranded knitting classes!

Intro to Color Stranded Knitting – Cape Meares Hat: Sunday, March 13, from 12:00-2:00pm. This quick cap is the perfect beginner’s colorwork project, and a groovy hat for anyone to wear!
