Talkin’ bout Talent

We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful team and family here at Twisted. There is so much talent, so many artists, so darned much creativity. Just this morning, I was eavesdropping on Elif and Star, and they were discussing a pattern they were looking at online. They exclaimed over the fact that it looked as though a three-needle bind-off was used as a shoulder seam, and how bulky that was. I smiled and giggled a bit, because we are lucky enough to spend time in a place where we speak our very own language.

We also have this team of famous and up-and-coming designers. It’s pretty remarkable, really – I get a kick when I look at one of my janky free cowl patterns, just seeing my name on it, and these women are published in print and online magazines all over the place, and are pretty much household names. Sure, the houses must resemble all of ours, with baskets of yarn and piles of needles and half-finished projects everywhere, but still…

It’s one of our newer Twistedistas that I want to talk about today. We first met Sivia Harding at the Oregon Convention Center during the wonderful, the amazing Sock Summit!!! And, we were pretty much blown away when she contacted us about looking for gainful employment here in Portland. She’s been here for oh,my,goodness, 5 months! and is amazing. She is also teaching some pretty wonderful classes, many of which are coming up in the next month or so, and are listed out at the bottom of this post.

But, the real reason for this blog post is that Sivia is featured on the Knitmore Girls podcast. Yay, Sivia! She spoke to the gals at the Sock Summit this Summer.
