Star’s Sock Design Workshop

This is your chance to take a Sock Summit class in the comfort of your LYS, Twisted. Star Athena, Twisted managress and designer-to-the-max, is teaching her design workshop here at Twisted. Yippie! There is still a bit of room in each of her two classes, so hurry on over to register (or give us a call at 503.922.1150)/

Learn how to design your own socks, write a good pattern, and discover resources to submit your designs for publication.

Materials: Sock yarn and needles for starting a sock you will design in class, (Choose something not too dark or overly busy). Usual knitting tools and notions, unlined paper, pencil, and knitter’s graph paper. Optional (but highly recommended): one or more stitch dictionaries, calculator, colored pencils (if you want to design colorwork socks) Bring in your existing design ideas if you’d like!
Skills learned: Charting, knitter’s math, designing.
