National Pet Day!
APPA
Appa is all grown up now and takes after her mom! Her new favorite thing is any Stasher bag. They're perfect for keeping treats in tip-top shape and ready to go at a moment's notice (and keeping mom's knitting projects safe... and washing the ones that Appa steals...). No stale biscuits or slobbery socks for this floofy princess!
AVA
Ava's favorite thing in this world is the one she can lay on. That being said she's a HUGE fan of Black Cat Fibers Essential DK. It's bright and squishy, perfect for afternoon naps on rainy PNW days. Her mom keeps an ample stash at all times. A gal's gotta have options!
GEORGE SMILEY
George Smiley adores chunky yarns. He wants voluminous thick strands of fiber that rival his own fur - things he can knead that will bounce back and retain great structure. His favorites are Blue Moon Fiber Arts Plushy and Malabrigo Rasta. We asked him to narrow it down and he flipped his tail at us.
JEZEBEL
Jezebel, our tiniest honorary Twisted team member, loves yarn in all forms. Hanks, center pulls, balls, or cakes, she'll thief them all. She has a fondness for intense speckles and bright colors. In a label-less test, she chose to steal Serendipitous Wool Co.'s Guru 100% of the time.
KRAMER
Kramer, by far our biggest staff pet, has a distinct fondness Hex Fiber Arts project bags. They come in an array of lovely prints and are locally handmade! And they could have cookies in them. You never know! ;)
LOUIE
He won't tell us why, but Cocoknits stitch stoppers (particularly the rainbow variety) are the way to Louie's heart of gold. Texturally smooth and soft EVA foam, apparently they are just as pleasing on teeth as they are on needle tips.
OLIVER
Oliver is a big fan of HiyaHiya interchangeable needle tips (to bite). As with some of our other pets, he won't explain the particulars... maybe it's the variety of lengths and sizes and materials to choose from? Regardless, the lad knows what he likes!
RILEY
Riley has crossed the rainbow bridge, but he famously loved Malabrigo Rios for super-soft, colorful, and machine washable sweaters. This little dude was stylin' all the time.
P.S. Riley's blue granny square afghan was crocheted by his grandma when his mom was about 8 years old!
PENNY
Penny finds Hedgehog Twist Sock very relatable because it is sooooo pretty but also sturdy and hardworking. Get you a yarn (and a dog) that does it all.
