Learn New Techniques in the New Year
knitting classes via Zoom with Michele Lee Bernstein
Minerva Entrelac Cowl
February 6 from 10:30am-12:30pm
Minerva is an entrelac cowl or scarf, knit flat. Why knit a round cowl flat? To learn all the elements you need to know for any entrelac project, and to avoid a huge game of yarn chicken on a long scarf or loop cowl knit from the long edge! Entrelac looks like it’s woven, but it’s just a lot of squares and triangles, knit one at a time. You’ll always want to knit juuuuuuust one more square.
Brioche Increases and DecreasesJanuary 30 from 10:30am-12:30pm
You’ll learn most of the increases and decreases on the first patterning round, and then have lots of relaxing brioche rib before the next increases and decreases. You’ll also learn more about reading your brioche knitting and fixing more mistakes.
Petite Brioche: 2-Color in the Round
February 27 from 10:30am-12:30pm
Brioche knitting is the current “it knit” and you can do it, too! Brioche knitting is easier in the round than flat, and even easier with two colors rather than one. You’ll learn basic brioche rib while knitting a simple headband. You’ll also learn how to fix common mistakes in brioche knitting.
