Need Therapi?

Therapi, South West Trading Company’s new Jade (yeah, the stone) blend. Here is a description of it straight from SWTC: “Therapi is a blend of 50 percent wool, 20 percent silk, and 30 percent Bowlder, a crushed jadeite-based fiber. While its mineral origins might suggest a certain stony quality, instead this groundbreaking yarn is incredibly soft and breathable thanks to the fiber’s unique honeycomb structure. Therapi is machine washable and available in 16 captivating colors.”

Therapi is the official yarn of Hat Attack, which, as Emily so succinctly stated, is a kill–or-be-killed kind of knitting competition. But, Therapi is also just plain a wonderful yarn. It’s a light-worsted, and has beautiful stitch definition. Our own lovely Julie did a sample for us, the Braided Therapi Wrap, and it is now living on one of the dress forms here at Twisted. It’s really a cool pattern, and a lovely design.
