More ways to get your learn on!
A few more upcoming classes for your perusal…
Arctic Blast Mitts – October 11 + 18th, 6-8 pm
These lacy fingerless gloves were our super popular January pattern in last year’s single skein club! You’ll learn to follow a written or charted lace pattern, and whip out a great holiday gift while you’re at it.
Taught by Parna Mehrbani, $40. You’ll need about 150 yards of a DK weight yarn (one skein of Malabrigo Silky Merino is perfect) and needles necessary to obtain gauge. Pattern by Star Athena included with class fee.
Pippi Hat (Intro to Colorwork) – October 14 + 21, 6-8 pm
Take your knitting to another level with colorwork! This adorably zany hat pattern uses basic 2-color stranding with garter ridges, earflaps, braided cords, and an optional crocheted border and gives you a cozy and interesting finished project.
Taught by Michele Bernstein, $40. You’ll need at least 20 yards of two to four colors of yarn (preferably wool or a wool blend in contrasting colors) and appropriately sized circular needles. Includes pattern by Michele Bernstein.
Kids Learn to Knit! – October 17, 24, 31 + November 7, 10:30-11:30 am
Covers knitting, purling, casting on, and binding off in shorter one hour classes. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
Taught by Karie Galvin, $40. You’ll need size 8 straight needles, worsted weight yarn (preferably wool, plain colored and not too dark).
