Gothic Leaf Scarf: Lace is even more beautiful when knitted with beads! Don’t tell.. it’s a secret how really easy it is to add beads to your knitting with a small crochet hook. In this class, you will learn simple lace stitches while working up a beaded scarf sized version of the Gothic Leaf
Stole. After learning this bead technique, you will want to add beads to all of your knitting! Get inspired!
When: Tuesdays, February 1, 8. 6-8pm, with Sivia Harding. This class is $40.
Materials:
*Sock or fingering weight yarn – 350 yds
*Needles, either straights or circular, US 5 (3.75 mm).
*Seed beads: about 200 size 6/0 seed beads (15 grams). Please purchase more beads than you will need.
*Crochet hook: US 13 or 14 (0.6 mm or 0.75 mm)
*Stitch markers, colored pencils or markers, Post it notes, highlighter tape, or magnetic chart keeper.

Mosaic Knitting: Are you colorwork-curious? Does the thought of Fair Isle leave you faint? Be puzzled no longer! This class will teach you the basics of mosaic knitting, a colorwork technique which is easier than the traditional stranded method. Invented by Barbara Walker, mosaic knitting requires the use of only one color per row; stitches of the unused color are simply slipped from one needle to the other. Students will use several mosaic patterns to make a beautiful, functional pillowcase, then finish everything off with a few rounds of single crochet – no seaming required!
When: Wednesdays, February 2, 9. 6:00 – 8:00 pm, with Elif Ogan. This class is $40.
Materials:
*4 – 6 colors of worsted-weight yarn. (Berroco Comfort was used for the sample),
*Size US 8 24″ circular needles (or size 8 straight needles, if preferred), OR SIZE TO GET GAUGE
*Size G crochet hook
*Darning needle
