Join us for LYS Day - April 21, 2018

LYS Day

Join Twisted Saturday, April 21 for a day of events celebrating Local Yarn Stores.

Yarnside Chats

Twisted will host informal yarnside chats with two well-known, local, and stalwart supporters of LYS - Jared Flood and Tina Newton. They'll share their perspectives on the state of the industry, why LYS matter, and how you can support your LYS. Seating will be very limited - we'll all do our best to make everyone comfortable, but we don't have a Harry Potter Room of Requirement so please expect to stand and perhaps cuddle with your neighbor.

Blue Moon Fiber Arts Soft Rock & SYLYS Colorway

Tina from Blue Moon Fiber Arts will be sharing a TRIPLE DEBUT. On Saturday you can be among the first to meet her newest yarn, Soft Rock - a two-ply light-fingering yarn inspired by BMFA's iconic Socks That Rock line. AND she'll also be introducing a new colorway called "Support Your Local Yarn Store"... aimed at... yes... inspiring you to support your LYS today and every day. PLUS, you can see and pre-order Tina's mind-blowing Fadient Kits on Featherlight single-ply yarn.

Brooklyn Tweed Ranch 01

Ranch 01, Brooklyn Tweed’s first ranch specific, single batch yarn, began with the sourcing of fine Rambouillet fiber at Bare Ranch in Surprise Valley, California, a ranch that produces Climate Beneficial Wool in partnership with Fibershed. After shearing, the fiber was processed at Chargeurs in South Carolina and spun at Jagger Brothers in Maine. To achieve a palette of unique colors specially curated by BT and inspired by nature, Ranch 01 was then sent to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be naturally dyed by the Green Matters Natural Dye Company. Available April 20th in store and online!
