Learn to Spin!

Spinning is a fun, meditative skill that enhances your understanding of how yarn is made, and how different fibers behave. Hand-spun yarn is like no other – it makes a unique project or gift, sure to be treasured by the lucky crafts people in your life. It can be a tricky art to learn on your own, but with the expert guidance of our spinning instructor, you’ll soon be creating your own goodies to stash, knit, or share. And who doesn’t want more yarn?

Intro to Wheel Spinning – Tuesday, February 21, 28 & March 7 from 6:00-8:00pm

Learn to spin and discover a whole new dimension to your fiber obsession. We have high quality Schacht spinning wheels for rent, too, allowing you to get started without the big expenditure of purchasing a wheel.

Intro to Drop Spindle Spinning – Thursday, March 23 & 30 from 6:00-7:30pm

Drop spindle spinning is fun and portable, and requires less commitment than wheel spinning. Check out our Wall of Roving and grab some colors to play with – this ancient method will have you spinning every where you go!
