July’s Winner and August’s Contest!

The winner of July’s haiku contest, “Toe up or Cuff Down? Support your answer in 17 syllables”, is Ester P.!

Fat legs and cankles;
they have proved to me: cuff-down
is the way to be!

We just couldn’t resist a haiku that uses the word “cankles”.
Ester will be taking home a gorgeous skein of Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Select in Green Mountain Madness.

And for the first time, we’ve decided to award a second prize as well, to a toe-up advocate this time! Congratulations to Abbe F.!

I started cuff down
But what’s this? Not enough yarn?
I was such a fool.

Abbe will receive a lovely pink skein of Araucania Ranco, color 117.

For August, we’re doing another photo contest. Since everyone’s got socks on the mind this month, the theme is “The Secret Life of Socks.”

What do your socks (on the needles or off) get up to while you’re gone? What are they hiding? Every sock has a story, we’re sure of it! (Get creative with this one, guys… there’s a whole world of possibilities.) We’re super excited to see what you crafty people come up with.

To enter, just add your photo to the Twisted Flickr Pool by August 31st. This month’s winner will win this super-pretty skein of Araucania Ranco sock yarn!

(Yes, I know we just gave away sock yarn… but are you really bothered?)
