JANUARY RECOMMENDED YARN: Knitted Wit Victory Sock + optionally Knitted Wit Fairy Floss

Available in sizes from baby through adult large, the free Barley Light pattern from Tin Can Knits is always a winner. It's quick to knit and gender-neutral, but with enough style to make again and again.

You'll need 110-260 yards of sock weight yarn (depending on size). We're recommending Knitted Wit Victory Sock - this uncluttered pattern shows off Victory Sock's bright colors and variegation perfectly. If you want to jazz things up, carry along a strand of fluffy Knitted Wit Fairy Floss, too!

You'll also need a US #2 / 2.75mm 16” circular needle, and a US #4 / 3.5mm 16” circular and double pointed needles (or as required to meet gauge), stitch markers, and the all-important darning needle. The pattern is available free via Ravelry download.
