Hempathy + Gudrun = Heaven

We are so lucky here at Twisted. We get to choose to have the most amazing samples made, out of yarns that we are drooling over, and we can try them on, and see them on our customers, and our in-store dummies. We’ve been getting some amazing items made for the supposedly upcoming warm-weather knitting (heck, we’re drooling over the idea of warm weather…). The first one is out of a yarn we’ve had for about a year now, and are falling more and more in love with. Elsebeth Lavold’s Hempathy, which is a sport-to-DK weight blend of cotton, hemp and modal, is light and soft. We had one of our trusty sample knitters, Sarah, make the gorgeous Audrey in Unst from Gudrun Johnson, THE Shetland Trader, in this amazing yarn. She commented, much like others I’ve seen on the world wide interwebs, on just how fantastic these patterns are, how comprehensive and easy to understand, with great little details that complement so well the basic structure of the sweaters. Makes me want to cast this puppy on right now, although it’s hard to decide on a size when I’m in such a state of transition, body-wise…Maybe later this summer…
