Custom fitting glove class is ON!
Gloves are awesome.
Fingerless mitts are superfly and all, but sometimes you just want a good old fashioned pair of gloves. Not chunky mittens, not those Fred Meyer $1.99 specials, but real, actual, simple yet elegant hand-knit gloves.
Michelle Molis, Twisted teacher extraordinaire, is going to show us how to do it. Check out how very much we love the shop samples:
When is this class happening, you ask? Saturdays, February 27th and March 13th. 3:30-5:30pm with Michelle Molis $40.
Materials: Fingering to sport weight yarn, dpns or circular needles to give you a gauge you like Includes: Glove pattern by Michelle Molis
Skills learned: Yarn over, slip-slip-knit, reading a chart
Homework: Students should do a stockinette gauge swatch, preferably in the round, in the yarn they would like to use for the gloves. The shop samples are made of Trekking Maxima, color 903, on size US2 needles, with a gauge of 7 stitches per inch.
I mean, come ON, look at how happy Emily is!
