Class Spotlight: Felted Bag

Learn to make a basic felted tote bag in the round, with endless options for customizing- stripes, anyone? Michele Bernstein will get you started and teach you all the techniques you need to finish on your own.

Make it plain or make it fancy-schmancy!

Class is on Thursday, August 12 from 6-8pm and costs $20. Students will need about 600 yards of worsted weight wool (NOT superwash, and NOT white, as it doesn’t always felt well), a US size 10.5 24″ circular needle and set of size 10.5 dpns, and one stitch marker. The class includes Michele Bernstein’s Slipped Stitch Tote pattern.

This class has homework! Please pick up your pattern ahead of time and come to class with the garter stitch bottom of the bag already completed (it’s knit flat.) This will give us time to cover the rest of the techniques!
