Class Spotlight: Baby Time!

We’ve got two great baby project classes coming up! With one on Saturday and one on Sunday, you could work these projects simultaneously and have a fantastic baby shower gift set ready for any little ones you’ll be welcoming this fall (great holiday gifts as well!)

Parna will be teaching Ysolda’s Tiny Shoes baby booties pattern on Saturdays, August 14 and 21. These mary-jane booties are cute as can be and are a great use for leftover sock yarn. The class is $40 and requires about 66 yards of fingering weight yarn, a set of 2.5 (3mm) dpns (or two circulars if you prefer), 2 small buttons, and a tapestry needle. The pattern, Tiny Shoes by Ysolda Teague, is included with the class.

Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Baby Surprise Jacket is a classic! Watch as this amazing (and quite simple) baby sweater takes shape like a piece of knitted origami. Learn to read EZ’s slightly crazy pattern and make one heck of a cute project. Also taught by the wonderful Parna! Classes are on Sundays, August 15, 22, and 29th, and costs $60. Includes the Baby Surprise pattern. Students will need about 350 yards of DK or worsted weight yarn and US size 6 24″ or 32″ circular needles.
