A modest proposal

jonathan swiftNo – I’m not suggesting you eat orphans to battle the current economic downturn.

I am suggesting you take a class at Twisted! Here are a few upcoming ones that might strike your fancy:

Triangular Shawl – Learn to make a triangular lace shawl. Choose one of several Evelyn Clark patterns with this construction.
Saturdays, March 28 and April 11. 3:00 – 5:00pm. $40

Intermediate Wire Crochet: Flower Pendants – If you’re already comfortable making crocheted flowers in yarn, this class will teach you to transform them with wire for delicate jewelry. We’ll learn to crochet with fine-gauge wire in the round, adapt existing flower patterns for wire, join colors, and add beaded embellishments.
Saturday, March 28. 11:30am – 2:30pm. $30, plus materials fee of $3 payable to the instructor at class.

Japanese Temari – These thread-wrapped, embroidered balls are an ancient Japanese craft now made as tokens of luck.
Sunday, March 29. 11:30am – 2:30pm. $30, plus $5 materials fee payable to teacher at class.

Beaded Wristbands/Intro to Knitting with Beads – Learn to knit with beads while making these hip little accessories.
