No – I’m not suggesting you eat orphans to battle the current economic downturn.
I am suggesting you take a class at Twisted! Here are a few upcoming ones that might strike your fancy:
Triangular Shawl – Learn to make a triangular lace shawl. Choose one of several Evelyn Clark patterns with this construction.
Saturdays, March 28 and April 11. 3:00 – 5:00pm. $40
Intermediate Wire Crochet: Flower Pendants – If you’re already comfortable making crocheted flowers in yarn, this class will teach you to transform them with wire for delicate jewelry. We’ll learn to crochet with fine-gauge wire in the round, adapt existing flower patterns for wire, join colors, and add beaded embellishments.
Saturday, March 28. 11:30am – 2:30pm. $30, plus materials fee of $3 payable to the instructor at class.
Japanese Temari – These thread-wrapped, embroidered balls are an ancient Japanese craft now made as tokens of luck.
Sunday, March 29. 11:30am – 2:30pm. $30, plus $5 materials fee payable to teacher at class.
Beaded Wristbands/Intro to Knitting with Beads – Learn to knit with beads while making these hip little accessories.
Wednesday, March 25. 6:00 – 8:00pm. $20
What to do with your extra sock yarn – Great ideas for projects to knit with those little left over bits from socks.
Sunday, March 29. 3:00 – 5:00pm. $20
Intro to Circular Knitting/Basic Hat – Learn to knit a basic stocking cap in the round on circular and double-pointed needles.
