There are still a few spots left in a very special class, Intro to Lace. If you haven’t yet tried lace knitting, this class is perfect for you!
Take our Introduction to Lace workshop this Wednesday, November 14, from 6-8 pm starring the lovely Japanese Vines pattern, by the talented and fabulous Michelle Molis (who also teaches the class). If you’ve been in Twisted, you’ve surely seen one of the sample Japanese Vines we have hanging out here – you may have even tried one on! Well, now’s your chance to make it, knitters, and to get comfortable knitting lace while you’re at it!
Date/Time: Wednesday, November 14; 6-8pm
Materials – either bring your own or before/during class get 20% off on: Apprx 400 yards fingering weight yarn (a solid color & not too dark), US 3 needles (or size needed to get gauge of 27 sts/ 4 inches), stitch markers, darning needle.
Includes: Japanese Vines pattern by Michelle Molis.
Homework: Scarf dimensions are 6” wide x 69” long or 7.5″ wide x 49” long. For the longer, narrower version cast on 47 stitches. For the shorter, wider version cast on 55 stitches. Use a cable cast on or your favorite stretchy cast on. Knit 5 rows.
Skills learned: Yarn over, slip-slip-knit, reading a chart.
